3D Tiger Display
This 3D tiger was made from wire, cardboard, oil paint, and spray paint. Designed to be mounted on a wall, the elements of the facial structure protrude to emphasize both the intensity of the gaze as well as the focal point of the sculpture: the jaw.
Haitian-Inspired Recycled Art
Inspired by the Haitian practice of creating sculptures from recycled or discarded objects, this sculpture was constructed with a 3D-printer (used to produce the skull), wood, foil, hay, clay, a collection of sticks, a soda can, and nail polish. As a supplemental piece for a research project on Haiti, it pays homage to the creative works made with mundane objects such as bins, tires, or car doors. I created this piece to allude to popular themes in Haitian art, including spirituality, birth, life, death, and the after-life.
