Skillprint Header
This icon is designed to introduce my Skillprint presentation. A Skillprint is a visual representation of skills or experiences which supplement a resume or portfolio.
What is a Skillprint?
The Skillprint project was designed to allow us to express our interests, skills, and motivations through a creative and digital medium. Throughout this project, I explored software such as Figma in order to create an interactive experience that would allow my audience to get to know me better.
In initial sketches, I developed the idea of implementing the field of biology into my Skillprint. This took as various logos and designs incorporating concepts surrounding broad categories such as nature to more specific categories such as the DNA double helix. The goal was to find a design with sections that could be naturally sectioned off - I experimented with petals, organelles, and genes.

In the end, I fixated on the image of the eye. It both represented the metaphor that this Skillprint would be a "window into my soul" as well as a means through which I could describe anatomical lenses through which I see and interact with the world. After playing around with how to depict the eye and expand it to create distinct icons the user could interact with. In the end, I decided to use color to express the different lenses or filters that allow me to perceive problems and tasks differently. By combining different perspectives, I am able to see in different dimensions of color.
