Hi there!

It's nice to meet you virtually. This page is designed to give a bit of context around the engineer behind the projects displayed on this website.

ABOUT

ME

My Story

I am a recent graduate from Stanford University, with an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an B.S. in Human Biology. I am interested in the intersection of design, engineering, and biology, a product of my lifelong fascination with the environment around me. Over the years, I have consistently sought to understand and question the world from various angles. Growing up, I could be found examining every rock and bug in my backyard, and later on as a student navigating elementary school through high school, I turned to the pages of science textbooks and articles. During my undergraduate career, I earned a B.S. in Human Biology, concentrating in Biomechanics and Medical Device Design. During this time, I found myself in an introductory  mechanical engineering course where I learned the basics of design and prototyping. Through this class, I was opened up to the idea that engineering is more than just following set protocols and plugging in numbers; it has rich opportunities for creativity and novel ways of thinking. Returning to Stanford for graduate school, I earned my M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (focus in Biomechanics) to marry these interests. Now, I hope to work as a Product Designer or an engineer within the MedTech sector,  drawing inspiration from biological phenomena and natural processes as I brainstorm and iterate through product ideas. Through pursuing my graduate degree,  I found that I enjoy exploring the potential impacts of human-centered design on device usability and service implementation, and my empathetic nature assists in my ability to listen to and understand user needs.

This website features a variety of projects I have executed as I have progressed through courses and activities surrounding product design and engineering. I have added the supplementary "Other/Personal Projects" pages to give further insight into my interests and artistic endeavors.
